About This Role
A PSA Prime Mover Driver, or Container Handling Specialist, operates heavy-duty trucks to transport shipping containers between cranes, container yards, and vessel berths within Singapore's terminals. They are crucial to port logistics, often working 12-hour shifts to manage the movement of containers, using on-board computers (SMART PMPC) to receive job assignments.
Key Responsibilities
Safely driving specialized trailers within port premises
Maneuvering around the port following designated routes
Following instructions from the control centre via on-board computers (SMART PMPC)
Transporting shipping containers between cranes, container yards, and vessel berths
Requirements
Valid Singapore Class 3 driving license
At least a PSLE pass in English
No criminal record (for clearance into PSA)
Not more than 58 years old
Open to Singaporeans and PRs

This is a key logistics role in maintaining the efficiency of Singapore's port operations
$12,000 Sign-On Bonus Payout
Paid over 18 months. The first 12 months follow a repeating 3-month cycle of $500, $500, $1,250. The final 6 months pay $500/month. Minimum 22 shifts/month required.
